With a slight wave of terror I had checked the weather forecast. It was close to freezing with a soft drizzle throughout our Saturday. Imagine my happy dance in the parking lot as the temperature was eight lovely degrees & the sun shyly sneaking trough the puffy grey above my head. Past Saturday we had the most lovely First Look between the trees with friends & blankets close by. It was two of our Würzburg friends tying the knot & inevitable this resulted in a mini Campus reunion. There were so many friends to hug close & stories to exchange. I was beyond honoured to be invited to stay after the photography part of our day was done. To remain & share in the joy of a special day. Even if I have to say, my own private highlight was in the morning, as I met with the groom. He picked me up in the parking lot & pushed a small bag over as he indicated my seat. Rici´s power bank.

His bride had in a truly jaw dropping manner enquired with my dear friends which might be some snacks I would enjoy throughout the wedding day. She had heard that I tend to forget to eat & wanted me to be well taken care of. She truly was the best! The simple thought & kind gesture of two power bars & a juice made my heart jump with joy! Incredible! I could have cried for the sheer beauty of it.

All this said, did I already mention that I love food? No? There you have it.

Almost as much as sharing heart on hearts with kind souls. Almost. And this in mind, I vanished to the snuggest place down south, met my Mau, took a Monday off, slow walked the tiny streets, caught up on the past weeks, has it honestly been that long?, shared about growth and pain and beauty in the midst of it, walking new paths, finding a new handbag, yay, getting café at our favourite hipster bar, sharing a humongous chocolate peanut butter cup, thanking God for peanut butter cups the size of my macro lens lid, going for a quiet prayer walk along the river banks, and because this day was not perfect enough yet, getting distracted from writing the Monday post & sharing sushi for dinner.

I hope your new week is as sweet & cozy as peanut butter cups melting in your mouth & soft blankets around your shoulders.
