When I would dream about my ideal clients, it would go something like this. They laugh a lot. They speak their own language of kindly teasing each other. They welcome each guest with open arms. They care about their photographer and they are a little smitten with details. With Franzi & Andy, I got even more than I had ever dared to hope for. Franzi surprised Andy with giving him a workshop at our studio in winter. This in turn, was superb for me, since I was able to learn more about them & their special day. We laughed a lot.
Their wedding day had a couple of surprises & the weather turned some of the plans upside down. We rescheduled & adjusted the time for portraits in between the thunderstorms rolling in. And honestly? Could you ask for a more vibrant light? We walked from the party location to the park of the abby & I was happy to bring out my hunter boots to walk about the high gras.
Viktoria was my angel / assistant that day, helped with the luggage & gave me a hug as the thunders came smashing down during cocktail hour. Thank you so!
As the evening drew to a close, our goodbye was applauded by their incredible family & friends. And on our way home, our hearts were full with gratefulness and joy. Not enough yet, they honeymooned in the north of Italia, where I used to study & dropped a bottle of bubbly & super tasteful chocolate off at the studio to say thank you.
Honestly, I do not know how I deserved you, but it was an immense joy! So thank you again and again!!
I wish you all the best for your journey & who knows? One day we will meet again.
I loved their decoration & the many glasses they collected.
And I was slightly excited about their flowers.
Love the way you make each other laugh! You are so beautiful together!
