Sweet Friends,

can you imagine? The best kind of family reunion. Where the garden is filled with all your favourite soul people, where the kids and some adults run around barefoot, where the candy bar seemingly has no limit, where all mammas and grannies baked their best and where laughter is in the air? Just like this, just this time, it was for a wedding. Guests arrived on foot (the close ones) and with vintage busses (the travellers). The bride wore a flower crown matching her red hair fairness and a friend tailored dress. We met on an ancient bride leading into the village for a dream like first look, where the groom caught is breath and twirled his girl for the first time that day.

And after the portraits on the field, I had the groom in the car, we saw Steffi driving in front of us. Mouthing the words to her, see you at the altar. Lets go barefoot. <3

As Steffi and Sam walked down the isle in their parents orchard, they walked among the sunflowers planted down the path well in advance. I have rarely seen a wedding with such caring and loving details as this happy celebration. Every sun flower was planted, not picked in the garden. And as for the ceremony? I do not know how I deserve to witness such heartfelt stories. Steffi and Sam´s was one for the books. In the middle of the service Sam shared his own touching testimony and had us all blinking away the happy tears. Not only honouring the story he shared with his bride, but also with his family and to the honour of Jesus.

Steffi & Sam, it is an honour & a joy to know you, to see you, to have seen your story and your friendship and to call you friends! Thank you so m much for taking me along for your incredible day!

Special thanks goes to my second shooter during the sunset hour, Rieke! It is such a blast to have you on my side, thanks for all the support that day!! Did I already mention I hurt my right elbow, that day? Oh shooting through the pain, for the last hour…

Thanks to her I am able to share some extra behind the scenes from his wedding! I loved that we had a sunset shoot to wrap it up.
