Where to even begin with this wonderful wedding?

Maybe here, that I have hardly ever met a couple before which was such a perfect fit. The first time we met was at Madeleine`s brothers Black Forest wedding several years ago. (Yay, you can find that on the blog)

And as we found out that we share a profound love for Tuscany I was already one hundred percent in. They not only looove Tuscany, but even got engaged there. I mean, speak sweet music to my ears! Not enough of this, they are also lovers of Scotland and the Highland Games! Can you believe it? Uniting all my favorite places in the world!

Their wedding day started with getting ready and a first look at the bridal parent`s home. Just look out for her Dad in the photos and you will know why I love first looks with different family members. Christian awaited his bride with the most radiant eyes at the graceful Wallfahrtskirche Weggental (a pilgrimage`s church).

Can I just say I enjoyed every second of their sermon? The stories, their eyes, their smiles?! Maybe it was the thrill of shooting my first wedding after returning from Scotland last September, or maybe it was a little more of being so close to the center of the heart of the matter again. Whichever it was, I was so grateful to be standing up front again and clicking my finger at every heartbeat.

Hours before the wedding day started, I had scouted out the castle location they had booked for the afternoon. Can you imagine my joy as I spotted a table card “Siena” (the town where I studied) among the tables? I loved all the Italian details they had put in the décor, caring gifts and bright flowers.

Now come along for a joyful look into this day at the Schloss Weitenburg, a castle  overlooking the dark peaks of the black forest conifers beyond. A castle I always love returning to and go for an extra evening walk after the reportage is over.

Dear Madeleine and Christian, Thank you so very much for your wonderful inquiry! YOU made my return from Scotland extra sweet and easy. I love your passion for travel and countries which I have a weak spot for! Thank you for sticking out the plans albeit planning insecurities. It was my great JOY to photography you!
