The Ragazze (my Italian girls) wanted to do something special for our ten year anniversary. You see, ten years ago we bumped into each other on a staircase at university. My impromptu and heartfelt “Ciao!” was soon followed by a cafe date, and then another and then another. Soon this group of wonderful ladies became a fixed staple of my every week… cafe dates, sleep overs, movie nights, jazz clubs and travels to various cities in Italia of course.
As Christina and her husband were just touring Europe on bike we decided this time to meet up en route and explore picturesque Leiden in the Netherlands together. Golden hour photo walks, a boat tour among the grachten, cafés and the best potato fries in town.
