Tuscany in Five Days: How One Click Turned into a Journey

On Sunday, I came across an Instagram ad from La Lista. By Tuesday, my flight was booked. And by Thursday, I found myself back in the heart of Tuscany—surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and an inspiring group of like-minded individuals.
What began as a spontaneous decision turned into an unforgettable experience of connection. The event brought together a truly special group of people, each with their own story, energy, and warmth. It reminded me just how powerful the right gathering can be.
As if the experience weren’t magical enough, I met someone I hadn’t seen in years—an old friend from my university days in Siena. Even if I thought that the chances are slim, I texted Giovanni if he would like to join the event! And what do you know, just as I parked the car, guess who pulled up next to me! Giovanni! From that moment I felt less shy, knowing someone from the olden days was around.

One of the most memorable moments came just after sunset, when Paula offered to give me a personal tour of the villa—soon to be unveiled as a new wedding venue. As Paula walked me through each room, she shared stories about the space—its history, the restoration process, and her vision for the events it would host. Her passion was contagious. And I was in love.

The most unusual run into was probably with Giulia from Firenze. Two years ago I had bought my wedding flowers for our Tuscan Wedding at her flower shop and I could not believe to meet her here.

In all honesty, networking does not come easy to me, I feel overwhelmed and at a loss for words, but this day it felt very much like I was at the right time and the right place. I met truly wonderful and warmhearted people.

None of it would have been possible without the La Lista team—and especially Lucy, the co-founder—whose care, thoughtfulness, and attention to detail were felt in every moment. From the warm welcome, thoughtful design of the event, her presence quietly anchored the entire experience with grace and heart. My only regret is that the evening was over too soon and I had not taken as many pictures as I intended to.
Not enough for just one day, on my way to the airport two days later I even ran into Lucy again, what are the odds?
It must have meant to be. I cannot wait for the next time!
This day would have been nothing without you! Thank you to everyone who made it extra special and inviting, who took some time to connect and share.
