Their wedding took place at shores of Lake Constance in Austria. Till few minutes up to the ceremony we did not know if the weather would hold. It being one of the stormiest seasons I can remember in Germany. We had several thunder storms rolling in across the lake and still my couple opted for the outdoor ceremony. Oh how I loved that decision! The light was changing constantly & we were gifted all scenarios of colors.
Arriving at this particular Saturday felt like walking into a tiny La Rici & Jan Will Photography family reunion. The maid of honour was one of Jan´s brides & among the guest was one of my wonderful 2015 spring couples. From the first time they all sat on my couch to the last hug of goodbye I knew that this was a particular warm family to be around. Ilona & Matt had met through work & united across countries. How they found their unique and common language of love & kindness impressed me. Their close ones being all sweet and helpful throughout the day. And I want to write a blog post with the best man on how to be a great best man. Yes, this is how wonderful it was!
We started with Getting Ready in the girls suite, a first look in the garden & a wonderful, wonderful time for portraits! Gah! You have to see them! I loved how well they planned the time for taking images together! It felt beautiful to never be in a rush & be able to take the images I like best. 😉 They were married by Matt´s brother, who did an outstanding job. And miraculously all of the afternoon was spent outside where I enjoyed the easy going take on the soft drizzle from all the Welsh guests.
