Hello Dear Friend,
by now you have probably started wondering if the blog, my photography and myself are still alive…
and the short answer is yes 😀
The long answer is that I did not quite know how to keep up with blogging and social media altogether while finishing my master in Scotland and spending the better part of 2020 till now in lockdown. I had those grand plans to keep photography up and running while also pursuing my other passion for film studies. It turns out, that was a bit unrealistic in the face of the unprecedented crisis and its challenges. Therefore the mantra in my head was one step, one step. Only today.
Since a couple of weeks I have been head over heels in reverse culture shock. Getting back into life in Germany has always been a bit bumpy for me. No matter where I have been. 😉 But the friends in closer proximity, the house mates, the full camera gear (luxury collection of lenses) and the tomatoes in the garden beyond my bedroom definitely help.
For today I thought I would give it back to you and answer some of the most frequent questions I get asked.
Will you still shoot weddings in 2020?
Yes, happily I will. I have some wonderful fall weddings booked and fingers crossed, they will be able to celebrate the wedding they had planned.
Are you back in Stuttgart?
Yes. 🙂
Are you taking on family sessions?
This is one of my favorite question from former wedding couples. Yes I do take on family sessions and come with that also maternity sessions.
Drop me a line, I would so very much love to hear from you!!!
What did you actually do in Scotland?
Ha, yes, I thought I would do a master in Film Studies. This is a theoretical degree where you basically watch a lot of movies and discuss them. I just thought the academic discourse about film should grow since, well… we are all watching so many films and series… It was such a fun program and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Tomorrow! Let’s do it tomorrow!
What is your favorite thing about Edinburgh?
Very good and very hard question. This definitely deserves a separate blog post. I think I just love the vibe of the city. The historic streets, the walks across town, the book shops, the cafe`s, living close to many beautiful places like the palace and Portobello. There will be so much more! If you are interested in having a photo session there, I know some cute streets! 😉
What was the last thing you did before lockdown?
I went on a day/photo trip to York and had a cup of Chris` absolute best cafe at the RedBox Marchmont.
Has your favorite take out changed at all?
No, it is still Sushi, thanks for knowing 🙂
What’s your favorite film?
Are you kidding me? Way too many! I should start a film club with movie after discussions…
What would you like to shoot more?
Oh such a good one! I would love to shoot more fashion or branding sessions. If you are designing dresses and need a photographer or you are setting up an online presence, I would so love to be part of your project!
Thank you so very much for sticking with me! Thank you for asking questions and for checkin in and for being patient and kind and wonderful.
Saluti,
Rici.
