Monday Post

The last two weeks were beautifully full. I shot my first wedding in Allgäu (region in the south of Bavaria), including a first look in front of a mountain panorama, a thunderstorm during the ceremony, many friends from Würzburg & a whole lot of cows the next day. The mountains alone made me want to sing Sound of Music the whole time.

We slept in a tiny village up the mountains. Were we could have seen Austia from the house, would the rain not have been so heavy. Instead we set out after breakfast to my days goal, which was pet a cow. Obviously.

A complete and utter surprise was what we found when waking up. A little family collection playing alphorns in the front garden of the house next to ours. I mean, could this be any more movie like? They certainly killed it with some beautiful stereotypes & I collapsed with laughter.

This is what I call a successful wedding weekend.What joy!

Loved having these two sweethearts with me! Thank you for the wonderful conversations during the car ride! You are so wonderful!!

On another note I decided that the middle of the wedding season is as good as any time to move house. In some curious way God has answered all my prayers and even more. It holds a collection of fun roomies, has a super big garden, two living rooms, a band room, a dishwasher (yay), campfire area in the garden and it is only walking distance from the studio. I love all the nature around it & it is the last house before the wood begins. Ah, I am so happy waking up there. For one day, I contemplated, when is  too soon to bring out the shears. And then set about trimming the little wilderness growing into the bathroom & shower. The result sits now on my windowsill. Cannot wait to begin new house & garden projects there.
