Dear friend,
thank you for dropping in! And a belated happy New Year to you!
You are probably wondering, is she still alive?! And I am wondering where those words will find you. As for me, I am sitting cozily tucked away on a dark blue couch, in the city centre of Edinburgh. If the sun would be up, you could see Arthur`s seat from where I am. You would like it.
When I think back to one year ago I can hardly belief all the things which have happened in the span of twelve months. One year ago I did not know I would go back to university, … one year ago I did not know I would study film, … one year ago I did not know I would move countries, let alone live in this absolute treasure of a city. And now? A blissful new beginning is stretching out before me. This and the reading lists piling on the small table at my feet.
To be frank, I have absolutely no clue what the next twelve months will hold. A master degree for one thing, yes. But then, who knows? More wild dreams and new roads.
And with this I will leave you and hope this new year finds you well.
Here is to more weeks filled with good surprises, many beautiful streets winding away from ours, scones and tea, and reading and learning. Here is to more beautiful encounters with kind souls and the never ending quest to find beauty in all the big and small moments of it all.
Some glimpses from the most wonderful day I spent with my roomy Beth in North Berwick.
We started our day at this very spot, with a warm cup of cafe, a crackling fire in the corner and this view, beginning to clear.
Hope to see you soon!
Rici.
